The MAF100C-0250-FR-S2-HK0-05-N1 is an asynchronous housing motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MAF IndraDyn Asynchronous Motors series. It functions as a compact drive element in automated production lines, presses, and test rigs, converting electrical input into controlled rotary motion for conveyor, spindle, or positioning tasks. A flange interface on the front plate streamlines attachment to gear stages or machine frames. Its enclosed motor format also supports installations that need consistent speed control and continuous operation in a compact mounting space.

The stator windings are cooled by a liquid cooling circuit that connects through an enclosed quick-action coupling. The mating port is 1/4 inch, which allows hose connections to be made with a common fitting size used on industrial cooling loops. Electrical power enters through a turnable terminal box on the B-side, which helps align cable entry with the machine layout. Position data comes from a single-turn absolute encoder that outputs 2048 increments over the EnDat2.1 interface and draws 7–12 V from the drive. Because the encoder is absolute, rotor position is available immediately after power-up. Standard bearings, vibration level A, and compliance with DIN EN 60034-14 help reduce mechanical oscillation during operation.

During operation, the rotor reaches 2500 rpm, a speed supported by insulation class F. The motor carries an IP65 protection rating, which helps keep dust and low-pressure water jets away from internal components. It may be installed in ambient conditions from 0 – 40 °C without derating. The unit is supplied without a holding brake, so external holding force is required when power is removed. The shaft uses a sealing ring and a keyway, and it is balanced with a half key to support smooth rotation and stable coupling behavior.
