It is intended for drive axes that must dissipate significant thermal energy while maintaining compact dimensions, which is common in machine tools and forming equipment. By combining a plain shaft with an integrated multi-turn absolute encoder, the unit feeds precise position data to the supervising inverter so closed-loop speed and torque control can be maintained during continuous-duty operation. The liquid-cooled housing removes heat through the motor jacket instead of relying on external airflow alone.

The stator jacket is traversed by a coolant circuit that uses liquid cooling; process fluid is introduced through a connection thread sized at 1/4 inch, allowing quick integration with standard industrial manifolds. When the rotor reaches its rated speed of 2500 rpm, the enclosure still achieves a protection rating of IP65, preventing dust ingress and water-jet intrusion during washdown.
