Product Description
The MAD160C-0200-SA-S2-AH0-05-V1 comes in an EX-design and is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth AG. It is an enhanced version of the IndraDyn A Motors series by the same manufacturer, Rexroth. It could serve as both main-spindle and servo-drive motor. The MAD160C-0200-SA-S2-AH0-05-V1 has been manufactured with motor fastening holes to suit both flange assemblage and feet assemblage. In other words, it is suitable for either flange mounting or foot mounting. As stated in the operating instructions, ensure that you do not jam the centering bundle located on the motor side, and avoid damaging the fastening holes while mounting.
The EX-design of the MAD160C-0200-SA-S2-AH0-05-V1 implies that it has explosion protection. However, the motor should not be exposed to fire. It should be safely used in environments where fire hazards are rare or occur briefly. Rexroth advises that only EX p purging devices that are equal or higher than the EX p protection class of the motor should be used. This way, the EX-protection is ensured. MAD160C-0200-SA-S2-AH0-05-V1 has a frame size of 160 which has a purging volume of 5 liters. Bear in mind that, it is imperative to get the encoder connection right as improper handling during connection could cause an explosion. A 15-meter long cable connected to the motor straight from the factory must be connected to the controller after flange or foot mounting. According to the manufacturer, the encoder should never be opened or unscrewed.
For cooling, the motor comes with a fan cover and a fan cowl. It can be operated with an external fan. Note that the surface temperature of the MAD160C-0200-SA-S2-AH0-05-V1 should not exceed 155oC within and without. On the other hand, the ambient temperature should be within 00C and 400C.
