The MAD130C-0200-SA-M2-AP0-05-N1, as with other Bosch Rexroth motors in the same family, are fan cooled, are easy to maintain, and allow the cooling fan to be changed while the motor is still running. When being used in high speed applications, the motor can be supplied with a special bearing assembly that enables it to be used with a high radial load. Also, connections to the motor should not be made when the motor is powered on.

Tools used when making power connections to the motor include an adjustable quarter-inch screw driver, a half-inch torque wrench with adjustable scale, a quarter-inch plus a half-inch socket wrench, one set of Allen Keys, and a single set of combination wrenches.
