Bosch Rexroth MAD motors which include the MAD180D-0150-SA-S2-KH0-35-N1 are air-cooled motors with a squirrel cage rotor and a mounted axial fan. They are suited for rotary drive tasks in a wide range of industrial applications that require high accuracy and fast speeds. This motor offers high continuous performance with the mounted axial fan keeping the surface cool to prevent overload damage. The design of the motor also ensures that the motor is thermal protected by temperature sensors integrated into its windings to monitor temperature. The motor is built for use in harsh and poor industrial conditions. The housing is sealed against moisture and dust ensuring that performance remains optimal even in such conditions. The motor is rated in the IP 65 protection category.
This motor has a frame size of 180 with a frame length of D. It is equipped with a single-turn absolute encoder with EnDat2.1 interface which ensures smooth running performance by providing accurate position and speed data. The motor has a standard bearing which delivers high availability and high speeds with low-noise running. The motor is rated for a nominal speed of 1,500 min-1 and a peak speed of 6,000 min-1.
