The MAD180D-0100-SA-C0-KG0-35-N1 is a MAD180 series AC motor that has a speed rating of 2000 and comes with the winding designation number 0100. This particular motor configuration is great for drilling applications given the speed that it offers, and the absence of an encoder makes it specifically suited for high-speed rotation purposes only. The motor comes with standard ball bearings, and this type of bearing allows the motor to attain a speed of 6000 rpm while generating the maximum torque at this speed of 768 Nm.
The motor requires 168 VAC to 480 VAC to operate and draws approximately 62.8 Amperes of current. To help with the cooling, the MAD180D-0100-SA-C0-KG0-35-N1 comes with an axial blower that itself requires a separate 400 to 460 volts AC to function, producing a flow rate volume of 1000 m³ of airflow per hour. The blower is attached to the back of the motor, where it helps regulate ambient air inside the motor enclosure and pushes it out the front. The recommended ambient temperature for operation is between 0 to 45 degrees Celsius.
To ensure that the motor does not get affected by a dusty and moist environment, Rexroth has completely sealed all of their MAD series of Servo motors with an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating, keeping the motor safe from dust particles of up to 2 mm in size while also providing level 5 water protection against low-level water splashes, especially rain. This particular model comes with a shaft seal to keep the motor perfectly sealed from the front and to also prevent lubrication oil from seeping out the front.
