The MAD160C-0200-SA-C0-BH0-35-N1 from Rexroth is a simple high-torque AC servo motor that is particularly designed for drilling applications. This 215 Nm servo motor can perform drilling tasks only as it does not feature an encoder for feedback control for shaft positioning. The high speed for drilling that this motor offers is up to 6000 rpm with a maximum torque of rotation of 496 Nm. This motor also comes with a low inertia design that helps this AC motor speed up quickly as the rotor torque of inertia offered by this motor is 0.311 kgm².
The BH0 configuration that comes with this motor ensures that the electrical connector is on the back side of the motor housing reducing the chances of the electrical wirings getting tangled with the rotating shaft or with the attached component, providing clearance. The BH0 configuration also ensures that this motor comes with a plain shaft design that is perfect for high torque transmission over to components attached to the motor shaft without needing a shaft coupler. The shaft, however, does not feature a shaft seal ring to prevent lubrication oil leakage.
