The MAD160C-0100-SA-S2-AH0-05-N1 is a 225 Nm AC servo motor with a nominal speed rating of up to 1000 rotations per minute. This AC servo motor is designed to provide a maximum torque of 240 Nm at standstill conditions with a maximum current draw of 52.6 Amperes. This motor is perfect for operating robotic manipulator gearboxes since it can easily provide such a high torque that can easily be translated into rotational force. The maximum speed of this motor is 6000 rotations per minute.
To easily control the shaft of the motor with high precision, the MAD160C-0100-SA-S2-AH0-05-N1 comes with an S2 configuration of the encoder that provides single turn rotation of the motor shaft and a step count resolution of 2048 increments. In combination with a compatible control module, the encoder uses the EnDat 2.1 digital communication protocol to easily communicate with the motor and debug errors with the help of error code generation. The onboard memory on the encoder helps store the position of the shaft in order to restore the last known position in the case of power loss.
This motor's shaft is smooth and balanced with the key, making it perfect for attaching a coupler to the shaft. Such shafts are also perfect for connecting to gearboxes as they can easily fit onto the gears. To keep the motor cool, the MAD160C-0100-SA-S2-AH0-05-N1 comes with a 400 volts AC Axial blower that helps cool the motor whenever it gets above the average temperature threshold.
