Product Description:
MAD160B-0200-SA-S0-LG0-35-N3 is an IndraDyn A series servo motor part of the MAD series that comes with a nominal rated speed of 2000 rpm. This servo motor comes with a locked rotor torque of 170 Nm which is perfect when it comes to applications such as robotics, especially in manufacturing plants where the lifting of heavy loads is essential to the entire production process. To ensure the shaft of this servo motor rotates accurately to the requested position and to ensure coordination of the servo is as accurate as possible, the MAD160B-0200-SA-S0-LG0-35-N3 comes with a single turn 512 increment resolution encoder.
The encoder on this servo motor requires an operating voltage of 5 volts DC with a current draw of 28 mA from an external supply unit. The ports for the power and the encoder connector cable are on the left side of the motor making it easier to mount for certain applications. Speaking of mounting, this motor is possible through either foot type or flange type mounting. For heavier loads, the flange type mounting is always preferred but for pulley action, the foot type mounting is better.
This servo motor should be operated within an operating temperature range between 0 to 45 degrees Celsius for optimum performance. To help keep the servo cool during high load operations to prevent heat dissipation, the MAD160B-0200-SA-S0-LG0-35-N3 comes with an axial blower fan that pushes air into the motor chambers to help cool the copper coil of the servo motor. This motor comes with a thermal time constant of 60 minutes which is the time it takes for this motor to cool down to its steady-state temperature.
