Product Description:

The asynchronous MAD160B-0150-SA-S2-EP3-05-N1 motor is designed and developed by the Rexroth Indramat group. The MAD series is one of the versions of Indradyn A. Each version of the Indradyn motor has a distinctive external or internal cooling method. External cooling (radial or axial fans) is used in the motors of the MAD series. Asynchronous motors have a simple layout, high torque, and a wide operating speed range. The rated speed at which the magnetic field in the winding runs varies from the rotor's actual speed due to slip speed. The motor's torque increases as the slip speed increases.

The 2-pole motor with a 0150 winding generates 185 Nm of torque and 1500 rpm of speed. The axial fan for cooling and an absolute encoder (single turn) for feedback are installed. When the motor runs in high ambient conditions (temperature and altitude) for an extended period or is switched frequently, it overheats and is derated to 1000 rpm, which is lower than the nominal speed (1500 rpm) of the motor. The absolute encoder converts the movement of the rotor into electrical signals with approximately 0.0056° absolute accuracy and 0.001' relative accuracy.

The entire key (P) with the shaft sealing is used to balance the integrated digital drive. The braking mechanism comprises a brake that is electronically released with 240 N of force. Moreover, this MAD motor features flange mounting (05), ball bearings (standard), and R-grade vibration. The MAD series motor of 160 B dimension can only be coupled with digital drives because these drives operate on non-continuous digital signals to work properly and store data in the form of bits. This digital combination offers a high-speed range, which is not possible with a traditional drive.
