The MAD160B-0150-SA-S2-AG0-35-V1 is a size 160 motor of length B in the MAD series of Bosch Rexroth asynchronous motors. This type of air-cooled motor delivers high power density and accuracy and is suited for applications such as printing presses, machine tools and handling equipment. The key feature of this motor type is a mounted axial fan that functions in surface cooling of the motor ensuring optimal operating temperature is maintained. This motor also features dust and water jet protection per IP 65 requirements enabling use in adverse industrial environments where there is risk of solid and liquid contaminants.
This motor is fitted with a high resolution single-turn absolute encoder, 2048 increments equipped with data memory. It has Side A connectors for electrical connection to the unit. The motor is equipped for flange or foot mounting making it easy to install in different setups and machine conditions. The motor is equipped with a plain shaft with a sealing ring which offers a force-fit backlash-free shaft-hub connection. There is no holding brake included with this model.
The motor can absorb additional radial forces since it is fitted with a reinforced bearing, type code V, with an additional cylindrical roller bearing on the output side. The motor is rated for a nominal speed of 1,500 min-1. It can accommodate maximum speeds of up to 6,000 min-1. The rated torque for the motor is 190.0 Nm while the rated current is 61.6 A. The motor can accommodate a maximum torque of 440.1 Nm. This unit has a continuous torque at standstill of 200 Nm.
