Product Description:

MAD160B-0150-SA-S2-AG0-35-N1 is one of the biggest motors in the MAD series of Asynchronous servo motors, this servo motor requires a maximum voltage for operation of 475 volts AC with an operating frequency of the voltage between 50 to 60 Hz at nominal. This motor comes with 4 poles that create the required magnetic field that interacts with the rotor coil field produced through electromagnetic induction. The rotor torque constant for this motor is 4.06 Nm per ampere of current when operating at 20 degrees Celsius or less.

The main features offered by this servo motor is an output torque of 185 Nm at the speed of 1500 rotations per minute while at the maximum speed of 6000 rotations per minute, this servo motor can generate a rotational torque of 440 Nm which is plenty for robotics applications. This servo motor should always be installed in a temperature regulated area where the maximum temperature allowed for this motor's operation is around 40 degrees Celsius. The thermal class insulation F helps this motor withstand maximum fires or heat signatures of up to 170 degrees Celsius.

This motor comes with a single turn absolute encoder with a higher resolution of 2048 increments or steps per 360 degree rotation while the maximum angle of rotation for this servo motor is around 360 degrees. This motor can use RS232 communication protocol with various control modules compatible with it. However, the main encoder protocol compatible with this design is EnDat 2.1. This communication interface makes sure that it is able to transmit data along with security bits that ensure the servo motor is transmitting and receiving the correct data.
