The MAD series comes with two holding brake options which is an important safeguard feature. The two available options are the electrically clamping or electrically releasing brake. The MAD130D-0200-SA-S2-AH5-05-N1 has the electrically clamped option which is better suited for when the motor is used in main spindle applications, also it is recommended to not use the same in servo drive applications.
