The MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-AQ0-35-A1 from Rexroth is part of the Asynchronous AC motor series with a cooling fan configuration. The fan in the MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-AQ0-35-A1 is attached to the front of the motor which forces the ambient air to flow through the internals of the motor helping it cool down quickly. The MAD configuration of the motor is the fan-cooled version while the MAF version is the liquid-cooled configuration of the motor. The MAD version is easy to use as it does not require a cooling agent like the MAF configuration asynchronous servo motors.

For accurate control of the motor shaft and accurate position, the MAD130D-0150-SA-M2-AQ0-35-A1 features a Multiturn encoder that tracks the position and the number of turns the motor shaft has achieved. This encoder uses the EnDat 2.1 encoder protocol which is great for error detection and storing the last known position of the shaft even during power loss. The motor is IP 65 rated protecting it against dust and moisture however it does not feature a shaft sealing ring to prevent dust from entering the motor from the front. The shaft has a balanced key design which is great for torque transmission and to reduce vibration during operation.
