Asynchronous housing motors in the MAD series by Bosch Rexroth are surface-ventilated motors with high overload capacity. These motors include the MAD100D-0250-SA-M2-AH5-05-N1 suited for use as main and servo drives for rotary drive tasks. The motor has a frame size of 100 with a frame length of D. It is equipped for surface ventilation and comes with an axial fan. The motor can withstand high cyclic loads permitting use in applications with continuous start-stop operations and high repetition rates. The motor?s reliable performance is enhanced by the integrated multi-turn absolute encoder with EnDat2.1 interface that ensures excellent smooth run qualities.
For durability, the motor is IP 65 protected meaning that its housing is sealed against ingress by water or dust. This makes it a versatile drive solution in areas where the motor may be exposed to liquid or solid contaminants. The motor is also equipped to prevent overload damage. It comes with thermistors in its windings which function in monitoring temperature. For ease of integration in different machine conditions, the motor is fitted for flange mounting. It also has electrical connectors for power cables located on Side A of the motor. The motor has a plain output shaft without a shaft sealing ring. It is also equipped with an electrically clamped holding brake rated for 30 Nm.
