The MAD100D-0100-SA-S2-AQ0-05-N1 from Rexroth's flagship MAD series lineup is a servo motor that offers a rotational torque of 64 Nm with a locked rotor configuration enabled that can provide a locked rotor torque of 70 Nm continuously. This servo motor offers various features, one of which is a closed-loop high-resolution feedback system that uses a single-turn encoder for its feedback feature. The encoder operates in such a way that it generates a square wave pulse of 5 volts whenever it detects an increment during rotation. Each increment corresponds to a particular angle, which helps the motor controller calculate the angle or the position of the motor shaft by counting the number of pulses generated. This encoder can generate up to 2048 increments for one single rotation and can only allow up to 1 turn.
To operate this servo motor, a supply voltage of 190 volts AC minimum is required, and using a supply module is recommended to ensure overvoltage and overcurrent protection. This motor can draw a maximum current of 19 amperes, while its nominal current rating is around 18 amperes. To ensure the motor remains compatible with other systems universally, this motor is designed to operate at 47 to 63 Hz operating frequency.
