Product Description:

For industrial applications that require medium torque rotational forces, the MAD100C-0200-SA-S2-AP0-05-A1 from Rexroth is a 45 Nm servo motor that has a power rating of 9.4 kW. This servo motor is designed for applications in industrial plants where high speed rotations are required. The motor has a normal speed rating of 2000 rotations per minute which can be enhanced since the motor comes with reinforced very high-speed bearings, allowing this servo motor to attain a speed of 11000 rotations per minute which is perfect for drilling and milling applications as well.

This motor uses a closed-loop control system and to send feedback to the control module, the MAD100C-0200-SA-S2-AP0-05-A1 servo motor features a single turn absolute encoder with a high resolution of 2048 steps or increments per rotation. This servo motor can rotate once in either direction based on the input square wave signals. For every step or increment, the encoder generates a 5 volts pulse to notify the encoder of the number of steps passed or counted. Such a motor with an encoder is perfect for controlling robotic gearboxes.

In order to communicate with the control module, the MAD100C-0200-SA-S2-AP0-05-A1 servo motor relies on EnDat 2.1 communication protocol. This protocol ensures error-free transmission of data by keeping the data packets encrypted with a CRC error code check to make sure the data transmitted has not been corrupted. In the case of an error, the motor control module will generate an error code, which it is capable of fixing itself. The encoder also features memory to store and log position data in the case of power loss to help the motor return back to its accurate last stored position.
