Product Description:
The MAD100C-0150-SA-S2-EL0-05-N1 is an AC servo motor from Rexroth, Bosch Electric. This motor is primarily designed to be used as a spindle motor as it can reach a speed of 9000 rotations per minute when using high-speed type bearings while its nominal speed is 1500 rpm. The motor has a winding code of 0150 and has a frame size C with a length of 100 mm. It also features an external blowing fan attached to the rear of the motor to help blow the air and regulate the temperature internally. It has a thermal time constant of 30 minutes which helps it regulate the temperature in under 30 minutes.
The motor is designed to be used in low torque high-speed applications hence it has a torque of 48 Nm which is still pretty high for applications such as operating gearboxes for industrial machineries. The MAD100C-0150-SA-S2-EL0-05-N1 draws approximately 19.7 Amperes of current on a nominal operating condition but can draw a peak current of up to 20.3 Amperes hence a thick power cord is required and this motor has a power cord with a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm^2 which allows the wire to have a gauge rating of 14 AWG making the wire thick enough to pass high levels of currents without melting or burning up.
The MAD100C-0150-SA-S2-EL0-05-N1 is designed to be operated at a temperature between 0 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius and should always be mounted in an open well-ventilated area to prevent overheating, resulting in fire. The motor is capable of surviving a Class F fire thanks to its Class F insulation which can protect it from fires of up to 170 degrees Celsius.
