The MAD100C-0150-SA-M2-AQ0-05-A1 from Bosch electric is part of Rexroth's IndraDyn A series of Asynchronous servo motors. This motor is designed for low speed and low torque design emphasizing more on accuracy and less on power. To help enhance its accuracy, the MAD100C-0150-SA-M2-AQ0-05-A1 features an incremental encoder with 2048 increments that helps break down 360 degrees in 2048 small parts. Each increment is generated as a square pulse which is then detected using the EnDat 2.1 protocol which this encoder communicates with to the control unit. The encoder is also capable of counting multiple turns which helps it to rotate multiple times without forgetting its position.
