The MAD100 series of motors are designed for high-speed applications such as drilling and milling machines where torque isn't the primary requirement. This motor, the MAD100B-0100-SA-S2-AH0-05-N1, is perfect for high-speed applications as it can generate a base speed of up to 1000 rpm and can rotate up to a maximum speed rating of 9500 rpm which is plenty enough for metal milling applications. The copper winding on this motor comes with 3 pole winding and has a resistance rating of 0.56 ohms along with an inductance rating of 1.28 mH perfect for suppressing voltage spikes in the power supply.
With a plain shaft design, this servo motor can be used for torque transmission applications where this motor, with the help of the flange type mounting, can be easily placed and mounted in a gearbox system and can be used to operate an entire gearbox system providing the necessary torque needed to function a larger control system. To keep track of the shaft positioning, the MAD100B-0100-SA-S2-AH0-05-N1 comes with a single-turn absolute encoder that allows the servo motor to rotate the shaft only once in a particular direction and has a resolution of 2048 increments that allows the motor to rotate around 0.175 degrees every increment making the shaft positioning highly accurate.
This motor also functions in locked rotor mode and has a standstill torque rating of 34 Nm. To keep the shaft locked in a particular position, this servo motor comes with a blocking brake that helps stop the shaft from spinning and has a holding torque rating of 30 Nm. The electrically clamped brake on this motor requires 24 volts DC to function and has an engagement time of 42 ms.
