The MAD100B-0050-SA-S2-LQ0-35-N1 is an asynchronous motor manufactured by Rexroth Bosch. It is used for challenging industrial applications. The motor has an axial fan for cooling. It is mounted with the blower and blows air across the motor. This narrows down cooling channels for high heat release and protects the motor from overheating during operations. The axial fan-blowing air also ensures that there is an optimal operating temperature for the motor, hence increasing its durability. This cooling method helps the motor get an optimal temperature to work thus avoiding overheating which shortens its lifespan.
A single-turn absolute encoder consists of 2048 increments. This encoder helps the control system to provide feedback on the position of the motor rotation and is able to control the position accurately. Single-turn absolute encoders can determine the position data of each angle within one revolution. The electrical connection is on the left side of the motor which is easy to connect with the other motors' components. It is possible to position it horizontally or vertically, and in other orientations without affecting other components of the motor.
The driven shaft is balanced with the entire key, ensuring smooth rotation with minimal vibration. However, it does not have a shaft sealing ring which makes it suitable for applications where sealing against contaminants is not necessary. The motor does not incorporate a holding brake.
