Product Description:
The KSD076C-0350-NN-M3-1G2-NNNN is a compact motor-drive unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KSD IndraDrive Mi Motors series. By integrating power electronics and a permanent-magnet synchronous motor in one housing, the unit mounts directly on the machine axis instead of inside the control cabinet. Within an automation cell, it receives digital setpoints over the hybrid IndraDrive Mi bus and converts them into controlled shaft rotation for coordinated positioning and torque control in packaging, assembly, or material-handling equipment. Because the drive electronics are built into the unit, power conversion and motor control take place at the axis rather than through a separate cabinet-mounted amplifier.
Under continuous operation, the motor delivers 8.7 Nm of torque while dissipating 165 W of internal heat through its finned enclosure. Short-term overload capability rises to a peak of 29.0 Nm, and that reserve is supported by a drive current limit of 17.7 A. The electromagnetic design produces a mechanical output of 1200 W at rated speed, and each ampere of phase current contributes 1.85 Nm/A because of the torque constant. Current, torque, and output power are balanced so the unit can provide steady motion during continuous duty and higher force during brief acceleration or holding events.
The capacitive Hiperface multi-turn encoder reports 16 signal periods per mechanical revolution, which supports fine commutation and absolute position tracking after power loss. The housing is rated IP65, and the shaft can tolerate axial thrusts up to 40 N without reducing bearing life. Rotor inertia of 0.00446 kg·m² supports responsive motion, while the assembly mass of 15.7 kg affects mounting and moving-axis load calculations. A thermal time constant of 25 min shows how quickly winding temperature approaches equilibrium, and the 113.8 V/1000 rpm voltage constant matches the motor to IndraDrive inverters operating on a 560 V DC link.
