Product Description:
The KSD071C-0240-NN-M1-1G2-NNNN integrates an IndraDrive Mi controller with a permanent-magnet synchronous servomotor and belongs to the KSD IndraDrive Mi Motors series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. By combining drive electronics and a motor into a single assembly, this unit reduces cabinet space and wiring requirements in modular machinery. It delivers closed-loop axis control for packaging stations, material-handling gantries, and other applications requiring distributed motion. The integrated design allows the device to be mounted directly on moving axes.
The motor supplies a continuous shaft torque of 10.5 Nm, allowing sustained operation at rated current without overheating. For short duty peaks, it can reach a maximum torque of 35.0 Nm, while an internal brake provides a holding torque of 16.0 Nm for load retention during standby. The motor has a torque constant of 2.52 Nm/A and a back-EMF voltage constant of 155.0 V/1000 rpm. These electrical characteristics support operation with IndraDrive inverters that share the Mi platform. Mechanical attachment is handled through a 140 mm square flange and a DS M10 centering thread. The shaft accepts up to 40 N of axial load from thrust couplings or other forces acting along the shaft axis.
High-resolution feedback is supplied by an optical multi-turn encoder that records 1,048,576 counts per revolution and tracks up to 4,096 revolutions of absolute position, ensuring fine positioning without external homing. A rotor inertia of 0.00189 kg·m² keeps acceleration responsive while still damping minor load fluctuations. Thermal behavior is characterized by a 15-minute time constant, allowing the temperature sensors and integrated drive controls to regulate winding heat during intermittent duty. The encoder retains multi-turn position information across many shaft rotations, which supports applications that require absolute position data immediately after startup. The low rotor inertia also helps the motor respond quickly to changes in commanded speed and position. Its thermal response supports controlled operation during repeated acceleration, deceleration, and dwell periods.
