The KDS 1.3-100-300-W1/S104 is a servo-drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KDS Servo Drive Modules series. It receives DC power from a common link circuit and supplies controlled current to compatible Indramat synchronous motors, serving as the power conversion stage in automated tooling, conveyor, and assembly systems. Its architecture fits Eurocard racks, allowing quick replacement and centralized diagnostics without disturbing adjacent axes. Because it is built for rack integration, the module can be installed in multi-axis cabinets where several drive sections share supply infrastructure and monitoring functions.

The drive provides a continuous output of 93 A, supporting mechanical loads up to 30 kW. The shared DC bus operates at 300 V ±15%, and the unit can reach 100 A during short acceleration intervals. The control electronics draw 1450 mA from the internal +24 V supply. Motor feedback returns through connector X24, while user I/O signals are routed through X25 and X26 so low-level control wiring remains separated from the main power path inside the rack.

Cooling is provided by a mounted LE4 fan that forces air across the heat sink, and the same fan can be positioned externally when cabinet airflow is restricted. Forced ventilation supports stable heat removal during heavy-duty operation and helps limit heat buildup around neighboring modules in tightly packed racks. The housing mass of 15.2 kg contributes to thermal inertia, and the enclosure has an IP10 rating for rack-mounted equipment. Under maximum load, the drive dissipates 400 W to external airflow and an additional 150 W internally. These losses remain within the capability of the forced-air path and insulation category C materials.
