The KDS 1.1-100-300-W1-220/S102 is a servo-drive module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KDS Servo Drive Modules series. Within the series, it is supplied as model 1 and series 1. It is used in industrial automation to deliver regulated current to synchronous and induction servo motors while monitoring internal losses. The unit employs forced ventilation to move heat away from its power electronics so it can operate continuously inside control enclosures.

It delivers a continuous phase current of 93 A, allowing the connected motor circuits to operate steadily without exceeding thermal limits. The module is rated for 30 kW of power transfer, which is the maximum power it can supply to the connected drive system. The intermediate DC bus is maintained at 300 V with a tolerance of ±15%, enabling compatible drives to share a common supply. When fully loaded, the electronics dissipate 400 W outside the cabinet, and this heat is removed by an LE4 fan assembly powered from an auxiliary supply of AC 220 V at 50–60 Hz. Measurement rails draw +15 V at 140 mA and –15 V at 50 mA for the internal signal processors, while logic circuits consume +24 V at 1450 mA.

For dynamic peaks, the link can momentarily supply 100 A, and the rated RMS current is the same value, but the device still adds only 150 W to the enclosure’s internal heat load. The housing weighs 15.2 kg, permitting straightforward panel installation at heights up to 1000 m above sea level. Reliable operation is specified for ambient air between +5 – +45 °C and for moisture conditions that correspond to humidity class F. A protection rating of IP 10 indicates that the enclosure blocks accidental finger contact with live parts yet requires placement inside a closed control cabinet to avoid dust and liquid ingress.
