The KDS 1.1-050-300-W1-220/S102 is a servo-drive module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KDS Servo Drive Modules series. It operates from a shared DC bus and supplies controlled motor current for positioning and speed loops in packaging lines, material-handling gantries, and similar automation equipment. By separating the power stage from the motion controller, the module supports flexible cabinet layouts and allows multiple axes to use a common power link. It is suited for systems in which the controller manages axis commands while the drive module handles current regulation at the power stage.

Its continuous current capability of 50 A is the maximum sustained armature current the internal IGBT bridge can provide without overheating. The drive accepts a bus voltage of 300 V DC with a tolerance of ±15%, which supports parallel operation with other modules on the same link circuit. The module supports up to 15 kW of output power, making it suitable for mid-range servo axes. A dedicated blower uses a separate AC 220 V, 50–60 Hz supply, so cooling can remain active during power sequencing. The DC input tolerance helps the module stay compatible with linked supply sections that experience normal bus variation during machine operation.

Thermal management relies on forced ventilation produced by the modular LE4 fan assembly mounted at the rear of the unit. This airflow keeps internal components within the permitted +5 to +45 °C ambient range and works with the open-frame design to move heat away from the power section. The enclosure has an IP 10 rating, so the drive should be installed inside a protected cabinet. With a mass of 14.4 kg, the module remains manageable for cabinet installation. The unit is Model 1 and Series 1, indicating the first design generation of this KDS platform.
