Product Description

The Bosch Rexroth KDF2.1-50-300-W1/220 is a versatile variable frequency drive that features a digital velocity loop microprocessor. It is compatible with the power supply devices of the manufacturer. The device can control AC motors of up to 25 HP. The product has a position control feature. The drive is the first version in the series. It can control the motor’s ramp-up during start and ramp-down during stop. The product takes in fixed AC voltage and frequency into its rectifier bridge and then converts the voltage to DC. Using a capacitor bank and inductors, it filters the DC, and inverts the DC voltage to AC, finally sending it out to the motor at the desired frequency. The KDF variable frequency drive has dynamic torque control. Its speed can be adjusted as desired. The device is designed to enhance the overall performance of motors in diverse industrial applications. It works by controlling the torque and speed of AC motors. The drive is capable of varying the power supplied to meet or match the energy requirement of the equipment driven, thereby saving energy or optimizing energy consumption. It should be noted that even if the KDF variable frequency drive reads OFF, there can be a dangerous level of voltage present at the motor, provided the drive is energized. So, the user should not touch the device right after turning off the power. The drive can be transported, installed, operated, and repaired only by qualified personnel who have adequate knowledge of drive technology. The drive must be wired by following the wiring diagram provided in the product documentation. The user should make sure that the temperature around the device remains at an acceptable level.
