The Bosch Rexroth KDF 2.2-50-300-W1/220 is a high-performance variable frequency drive used for automation system control. Using an analog velocity command along with a digital velocity loop microprocessor, the drive allows up to 16 parallel command bits. It is exclusively designed for compatibility with power supply modules from Bosch Rexroth. The unit provides excellent control over automation lines. The products can control the ramp-up and ramp-down of the AC motor during start and stop operations, respectively. The KDF variable frequency drive features dynamic torque control and fully adjustable speed. The main advantage of the drive is that it can reduce energy consumption and the cost of an electric motor. It must be noted that even though the drive says that the motor is OFF, if the drive is energized, there can still be a considerable level of voltage present at the motor. So, the user must avoid touching the device for some time even after off the power supply. The unit must be installed in a control cabinet and the ambient conditions to be maintained within the cabinet must be strictly observed. Only qualified personnel must handle the transport, installation, storage, operation, and maintenance of the KDF variable frequency drive. The drive panel should be grounded properly before power is applied. Before energizing the device, the power connections should be checked. The product must be wired by referring to the wiring diagram found in the product manual. A drive that is incorrectly installed or operated can result in damage to the machine it controls. The unit should be stored in a place that is free of accumulated dust and debris.
