Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the IKS0061, an encoder feedback cable in the IKS Encoder Cables series. The cable links motor-mounted sensing devices to drive controllers so that position and speed data are transferred without loss in automated production lines. Its molded plugs match the encoder interface used on Rexroth Indramat servo systems, allowing quick installation during machine builds or retrofits. Because the assembly is classified for drag-chain service, it is selected where axes move continuously, such as pick-and-place gantries, packaging machines, or robotic wrists.

The mechanical life of the assembly is rated for 2,000,000 flex cycles when routed in an energy chain, which supports long service life in high-duty applications. A diameter of 6.5 mm keeps bend radii small so cable trays can remain compact. The outer jacket is made of PUR, which resists abrasion, coolant splashes, and cutting oils. Visibility in machine enclosures is improved by its orange (RAL 2003) color, which makes the cable easier to trace among bundled conductors. The jacket is also resistant to mineral oils and greases, so lubricants in the wiring area are less likely to damage the sheath. The cable is suitable for continuous bending use, and the material set is halogen-free, silicone-free, and hydrolysis resistant.

The conductor core uses the INK0572 bulk cable and is terminated with an encoder plug coded INS0456 on the drive end and a mating sensor plug coded INS0457 on the motor side. Each contact zone is machine-crimped to maintain impedance consistency during high-speed signal transmission. A tinned-copper braid provides the total shield around the twisted pairs, which helps limit electromagnetic interference from inverters and servo drives in the same cabinet. The design profile, including flame-retardant PUR and halogen-free insulation, supports plant safety requirements while keeping drag-chain motion smooth over extended duty cycles.
