The IKG4211 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It is a shielded power cable used to link servo drives to their synchronous motors, carrying three-phase motor power, control signals, and protective earth in automated machinery. By combining power conductors and low-level control pairs within one jacket, the cable simplifies routing in drag chains and supports coordinated motion axes across assembly lines and material-handling cells.
Bare copper power cores sized at 4 × 25.0 mm² provide low-impedance paths for motor currents, while a conductor resistance of 0.78 Ω/km limits resistive losses over long runs. The insulation system has a voltage rating of 600 V AC, so the cable can be terminated on standard UL-rated inverters without derating. In dynamic applications, the polymer assembly endures up to 5,000,000 flex cycles, allowing continuous travel in high-duty cable carriers. The cable has a mutual capacitance of 1.1 nF/m, which keeps drive-induced common-mode currents predictable and reduces the risk of unwanted leakage to ground during fast pulse-width modulation switching. These electrical properties support stable power delivery while helping the connected drive maintain accurate control of motor torque and speed during repeated machine cycles.
For moving installations, the cable is rated for drag-chain use, meaning the strand arrangement, filler materials, and outer sheath resist abrasion and corkscrewing during accelerated travel. Its fire behavior complies with EN 60332-1-2, meeting typical machine builder requirements inside control cabinets and on open machine frames. The matte PUR jacket is oil-resistant, adhesion-free, and remains flexible at low temperatures. The insulation system is halogen-free, reducing the release of corrosive gases in the event of combustion. A bundle containing two pairs of 1.5 mm² control cores carries auxiliary signals separately from the larger power conductors. The high-visibility RAL 2003 orange color also makes the cable easier to identify when routed among other electrical connections in a crowded machine assembly.
