The IKG4139 is a motor power cable supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It carries three-phase power and auxiliary control signals from the drive controller to synchronous or induction motors used in automated machines. By combining power conductors, control pairs, and a protective earth conductor in one jacket, the assembly simplifies wiring in drag chains and fixed installations used in material-handling, packaging, and general motion systems.
The cable has a minimum fixed bend radius of 5 × D, which increases to 7.5 × D under continuous flex so the copper strands and PUR jacket are not overstressed. A conductor resistance of 7.98 Ω/km at 20 °C indicates the voltage drop expected over long runs. The overall diameter is 14.8 mm, allowing placement in standard energy-chain separators. Four power cores each use 2.5 mm² copper to deliver motor current, while four unshielded control cores support brake control or thermal sensors. A braided and foil layer forms a total shield that reduces electromagnetic noise coupling between the power group and adjacent signal cables. This shielding arrangement helps preserve signal quality when the cable is routed near switching equipment or other power conductors.
The cable has a line-to-shield discharge capacitance of 0.7 nF/m, a value useful when sizing drive filters for long cable runs. Each control conductor has a cross-sectional area of 1.0 mm², providing low loop impedance for reliable control signals when routed through dynamic drag chains. An orange RAL 2003 jacket makes the assembly easy to identify during maintenance. The conductor temperature can reach 90 °C, permitting continuous load cycles without thermal derating. The PUR sheath remains flexible, abrasion-resistant, and oil-tolerant in drag-chain applications. The cable is approved for drag-chain use and includes a green-and-yellow protective earth conductor for grounding. Its shielding surrounds the cable core to limit electromagnetic interference along the routed assembly.
