The IKG4116 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo and induction motor installations, the cable carries phase power, protective earth, and auxiliary control circuits between a drive controller and a machine-mounted motor. Its flexible construction supports continuous movement in cable chains without placing excessive strain on the internal conductors. This design makes the cable suitable for gantries, pick-and-place modules, and other automated axes that subject wiring to repeated bending during operation.
The cable is rated for 5 million bending cycles, allowing repeated flexing in tight drag chains without premature conductor fatigue. Its compact overall diameter of 14.8 mm simplifies routing through energy tracks, machine channels, and cabinet glands. The phase conductors have a DC resistance of 7.98 Ω/km, which limits resistive power losses over extended cable runs. A discharge capacitance of 0.7 nF/m keeps capacitive loading low and reduces the electrical demand placed on drive output filters. Power is transmitted through 3x2.5 mm² + PE copper cores that accommodate typical low-to-medium-power Rexroth servo motors. The protective earth conductor provides a dedicated grounding path between the drive and motor housings.
Four shielded sense lines with a conductor size of 4x1.0 mm² carry brake-release and temperature signals without requiring a separate control harness. Their shielding helps protect these low-level signals from electrical noise generated by the adjacent phase conductors. The outer sheath is made from PUR with an adhesion-free, matte finish, which resists abrasion and moves smoothly through drag chains. Its high-visibility RAL 2003 (orange) color makes the motor cable easy to distinguish inside crowded machine channels. Quick-lock connections are provided by the motor-side INS0481/C03 connector and the drive-side RLS0721/K03 connector. These terminations provide secure mating at both ends while allowing the cable to be disconnected without altering the surrounding wiring.
