The IKG4103 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied under the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It links servo drives to synchronous or induction motors, carrying both power and low-level control signals so that automated axes receive coordinated torque commands and feedback within a single routed assembly. The cable uses a polyurethane outer jacket that remains flexible in drag-chain assemblies and shields the cores from coolant splash and lubricants commonly found around machine tools.

Its copper core layout includes 4 × 6.0 mm² conductors dedicated to the motor phases and protective ground, while the instrumentation layer provides 2 × (2 × 1.0 mm²) + 2 × (2 × 1.5 mm²) shielded pairs for temperature sensors, brakes, or encoder reference lines. A power-core voltage rating of 300/500 V allows direct connection to common 400 V drives, while the auxiliary pairs are rated for 300/300 V. The cable has an overall outside diameter of 18.5 mm, permitting installation in compact cable chains without excessive fill. Its direct-current resistance is 3.30 Ω/km at 20 °C, limiting voltage drop over long motor runs. These characteristics support controlled current delivery while keeping displacement current and heating within acceptable limits.

For moving machine sections, the minimum bend radius during motion is 7.5 × D, whereas a static installation can use a radius of 5 × D without damaging the conductor strands. Flexible operation is permitted from -20 to +40 °C, while fixed installation and long-term storage allow a lower limit of -30 °C. The conductor insulation supports continuous temperatures of +80 °C during flexible operation and +90 °C in fixed installations, providing margin above typical winding temperatures. The matte, adhesion-free PUR sheath resists oil and abrasion. Its high-visibility orange color (RAL 2003) makes the cable easier to distinguish when it is routed through crowded trays or alongside other machine wiring.
