The IKG4061 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It is a motor power cable with total shielding that links servo drives to motors in automated machinery, providing simultaneous transmission of motor phase currents and low-level control signals while maintaining electromagnetic compatibility.
This model is designed for dynamic routing in drag-chain systems and endures 5,000,000 bending cycles without conductor fatigue. Its overall diameter of 14.8 mm helps installers size gland plates and chain compartments accurately. Factory-terminated ends use an INS0481 plug on the drive side and an INS0482 plug on the motor side, removing the need for field crimping. Four power cores are each sized at 2.5 mm², giving adequate ampacity for small and medium-frame motors, while two additional control pairs (0.75 mm²) carry temperature or brake signals. The assembly is halogen-free, and its orange RAL 2003 outer jacket ensures quick visual identification in mixed-voltage cable trays.
The conductors may reach a maximum operating temperature of 80 °C during continuous load, a limit governed by insulation class and the surrounding PUR mantle. When installed on moving axes, the cable requires a minimum flexible bend radius of 111.0 mm; in static runs, 74.0 mm is sufficient. There are 4 power conductors arranged symmetrically around the drain wire to keep loop impedance low. The jacket is fabricated from PUR, giving abrasion resistance and chemical stability in coolants or lubricants. Because the material is halogen-free, combustion gases remain low in corrosivity, supporting risk mitigation in enclosed production areas.
