The IKG4050 is a motor-power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It supplies three-phase energy and auxiliary signals between drive inverters and servo motors, giving automated axes a single bundled connection that tolerates both stationary routing and continuous motion. By combining power cores with paired signal wires, the product reduces cabinet wiring effort and supports compact dress-pack layouts on robots and gantries.

The cable is approved for an operating potential of 600 V AC (UL), delivered through four copper conductors sized at 4x1.5 mm². A circular outside diameter of 12.2 mm allows standard gland fittings while still accommodating the two screened control pairs rated at 2×(2×0.75 mm²). When installed on moving axes, the design withstands bending to a radius of 7.5 × D without conductor fatigue, so it can be laid in long-travel cable chains. The outer sheath is molded from PUR (adhesion-free, matte), a material that resists coolants and maintains flexibility; this sheath, together with internal fillers, keeps the bundle stable in drag-chain applications. Continuous conductor temperatures up to 90 °C are permitted, and the jacket’s low-friction surface prevents stick-slip inside densely packed tracks.

Transmission quality is supported by a mutual capacitance of 0.8 nF/m, limiting reactive current at high PWM switching frequencies. Copper loop resistance is 13.3 Ohm/km at 20 °C, so voltage drop stays predictable over typical machine-tool cable lengths. For fixed routing, the assembly can be clamped to a tighter minimum bend of 5 × D, useful in compact control cabinets. Visual identification is simplified by the sheath, colored RAL 2003 (orange), which matches standard safety coding for motor circuits. Together these characteristics give the IKG4050 the mechanical endurance and electrical stability required for continuous-duty automation lines.
