The IKG4017 is a flexible motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for routing between an IndraDrive inverter and a synchronous servo motor, the assembly carries the main three-phase power feed and integrated control pairs, allowing coordinated motion in conveyor, packaging, and machining equipment. A full copper braid shield surrounds the conductors to limit electromagnetic interference, while the PUR outer jacket resists oil, abrasion, and continuous movement in cable carriers.
The cable has a rated mechanical endurance of 5 million bending cycles, allowing repeated movement in drag-chain applications without premature conductor fatigue. Its outside diameter is 12.0 mm with a manufacturing tolerance of ±0.5 mm, providing the dimensions needed for gland and conduit selection. The four power cores have a conductor layout of 4 × 1.0 mm² and transmit motor phase current while limiting voltage drop. These power cores operate at up to 300/500 V, matching the typical output range of compatible IndraDrive converters. During dynamic motion, installation must maintain a minimum flexible bending radius of 7.5 × D; fixed routing permits a minimum radius of 5 × D and requires less installation space. The shield also reduces capacitive coupling between the motor conductors and adjacent control circuits.
Low-power feedback devices connect through two twisted pairs with a conductor layout of 2 × (2 × 0.75) mm². These pairs are isolated from the power bundle but share the common braid to reduce differential noise. The cable has a PUR jacket with a bright RAL 2003 (orange) color for quick recognition inside control panels and machine assemblies. Control circuits operate at up to 300/300 V, balancing the required insulation thickness with the flexibility needed for repeated movement. All conductors can operate continuously at temperatures up to 80 °C without degradation, and the halogen-free outer sheath limits the release of toxic smoke during a fire.
