The IKG4016 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It is supplied as a flexible, PUR-sheathed motor lead that combines power conductors and paired control cores in one jacket. In automated equipment, the assembly connects the inverter output to the motor terminal box, delivering three-phase power while simultaneously providing auxiliary lines for brakes or thermal sensors. The integrated design shortens installation time and maintains electromagnetic compatibility inside moving cable chains.

The power circuit consists of four conductors with a cross-sectional area of 4 × 1.0 mm², which helps keep voltage drop low at typical servo currents. Two double-shielded pairs with a conductor layout of 2 × (2 × 0.75 mm²) are reserved for control functions such as temperature monitoring. The cable has a capacitance of 0.6 nF/m; selecting drives with matching output filters helps prevent overcurrent caused by charging the cable dielectric. Direct-current losses are limited by a conductor resistance of 19.5 Ω/km, which helps maintain motor torque during long runs. Both the power and auxiliary cores support a system operating voltage of 600 V AC, allowing the same cable to support regenerative drives without separate insulation classes.

The cable has a PUR outer sheath that resists oil and repeated flexing, making it suitable for energy-chain applications. Its overall diameter is 12.0 mm, so it can be routed through 13 mm guide channels without additional hardware. In fixed installations, the copper conductors and insulation tolerate conductor temperatures up to +90 °C; lower temperature limits apply during movement to prevent embrittlement. The cable has a specific mass of 0.250 kg/m, which reduces drag on moving axes and simplifies carrier sizing. The sheath is colored RAL 2003 orange for easy identification. The cable can operate at ambient temperatures up to 40 °C and can be stored at temperatures up to 80 °C.
