By combining predetermined conductor sizing, factory-mounted connectors, and a durable outer jacket, the cable minimizes on-site wiring time while maintaining electrical integrity in continuously moving cable tracks used with pick-and-place axes, gantries, and packaging equipment.
The mechanical endurance of the IKG0123 reaches 5,000,000 alternating bending cycles, allowing a long service life in high-duty drag-chain applications. Fine wires grouped under IEC 60228 Class 5 improve flexibility and reduce conductor fatigue. During dynamic routing, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 × OD, whereas stationary mounting permits a minimum bend radius of 4 × OD. The insulation has a voltage rating of 600/1000 V, enabling use on standard 400 V AC drive systems with sufficient tolerance for voltage spikes. The PUR sheath offers abrasion resistance and oil tolerance while remaining halogen-free to limit toxic smoke during a fire. An overall braid provides shielding so drive-generated switching harmonics do not interfere with adjacent control wiring.
During continuous flexing, the conductor temperature can reach +90 °C, and the cable remains flexible at temperatures as low as -40 °C without becoming brittle. Fixed installations can operate at temperatures down to -50 °C, making the cable suitable for cold-storage conveyors and other low-temperature machinery. The preassembled connector set, coded INS0172-INK0605-INS0217, matches standard Indramat motor housings and eliminates the need for crimp tooling at the cabinet. The assembly is supplied as an IKG ready-made power cable that can be routed, secured, and connected without preparing individual conductors on site.
