The IKG0012 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It routes drive power and auxiliary signals between an inverter and its servo motor, and its structure is intended for continuous motion in drag-chain assemblies common to gantries, pick-and-place axes, and packaging equipment. The cable combines mechanical endurance with electrical shielding, allowing compact installation where space and movement constraints are critical.
Durability in bending applications reaches 5,000,000 bending cycles, and flexible routing is permitted down to 7.5 × D of the cable diameter without conductor damage. Overall size is restricted to 12.0 mm, simplifying placement in tightly packed carriers. The power circuit is formed by 4x1.0 mm² power wires that can be energized up to 300/500 V, while capacitive coupling is limited to 0.6 nF/m, reducing reactive current at higher PWM frequencies. Because the cable is certified as drag-chain suitable, the outer sheath resists tearing and micro-cracking under repetitive acceleration. Control functionality is supported by separately shielded pairs that share the same sheath, avoiding additional cables and reducing routing complexity inside the energy chain.
Line losses are held low with a conductor resistance of 19.5 Ω/km, keeping voltage drop acceptable on longer machine axes. The matte, adhesion-free PUR jacket coloured RAL 2003 resists oil, coolant splash, and abrasion as it slides inside plastic or steel guide channels. For fixed runs, the core insulation tolerates up to +90 °C, and static installations may use a bend radius of 5 × D. Two twisted 0.75 mm² control pairs provide brake or sensor signals without external shielding.
