The mains function of the choke in the industrial servo system is to help the industrial converter and power supply unit to realize a high DC bus continuous power. The combination of this choke with industrial devices should always comply with the permissible EMC values as stated by EN 610000-2-4. The HNL05.1R-0434-N0190-N-A5-NNNF mains choke does not contain any additional options, however, it can generate a nominal inductance of 434 microhenries while drawing a rated current of 190 Amperes from the mains.

The housing of this mains choke can only protect it from external foreign materials larger than 50 millimeters, it offers it no protection from smaller foreign materials and water penetration, it is thus important for the operator to ensure the converter is installed in an external cabinet that will offer it complete protection from external interference.
