The HNL05.1R-0040-N0471-N-A5-NNNN mains choke from Bosch Rexroth must be used only if the manufacturer’s HMU series inverter functions as a mains supply. The product should be used only with regeneration-capable supply systems. The device is capable of rendering the power needed for step-up converter operation when the DC bus voltage is more than the peak value of the mains voltage. The unit comes with a type plate encompassing its vital parameters fitted to it. It prevents the semiconductors from getting overloaded when there is a fast rise of current during commutation. The choke helps in saving energy costs because of the capability to reduce power noise.

The mains choke is also termed as a mains line reactor. The product is associated with the ability to discharge the supply system by means of reactive power compensation.
