The unit is inserted in the output circuit of Rexroth inverters to smooth steep voltage edges and to limit common-mode noise that could otherwise stress motor insulation or disturb nearby electronics. By conditioning the drive output, the filter helps reduce electrical stress on connected motors and supports electromagnetic compatibility in automated production lines. Because it is installed between the inverter and the motor, it can also help reduce the effect of fast switching pulses on long motor leads.

The filter can be operated up to an altitude of 3000 m without derating, so cabinets may be installed on elevated plant floors or in mountainous facilities while keeping thermal margins unchanged.
