The HMD01.1N-W0036 is a double-axis drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HMD Double Axis Drive Controllers series. It is built as line version 1 and design version 1, and it provides two independent inverter channels for coordinating paired servo axes in packaging, printing, and material-handling equipment. The unit has no integrated power supply, so it connects to a shared DC bus instead of rectifying mains voltage on its own. That structure lets one compact controller serve two motors while keeping axis control separated inside the same housing. This arrangement supports centralized energy handling while the controller manages current regulation, braking behavior, and diagnostic feedback for each axis.
Electrically, the unit draws a nominal input of 49.0 A from the DC bus and can pass loop-through current to additional modules in a multi-drive stack. Each axis delivers 20.0 A continuously and can reach 36 A for short acceleration demands, which supports brief torque increases without changing the basic drive layout. A separate brake circuit supplies 1.5 A per axis with a 50 ms load time constant to support repeatable mechanical brake action. Control electronics consume 11 W, while the power section dissipates 2 × 205 W at rated load. Heat is removed by internal air cooling with an integrated blower, which circulates cabinet air through the heat sink without external ducting.
