The HLT05.1W-245K-N-D7-NNNN is a new generation industrial drive controller designed by Rexroth Indramat to protect the industrial servo system from excessive electrical voltage. The HLT05.1W-245K-N-D7-NNNN brake chopper operates by switching the excess braking energy into a resistor which beaking electrical energy into heat energy which can be easily handled by the head regulation system of the servo system. The HLT05.1W-245K-N-D7-NNNN is produced by well-trained industrial operators according to the international quality standard; it can operate at a top level for more than five years without breaking down or requiring any sort of maintenance operation. The enclosure of the chopper meets the IP00 protection category; it offers the internal components of the brake chopper no form of protection from the penetration of foreign liquid or solid particles; thus the operator should ensure the brake  chopper is installed in an additional enclosure that offers it adequate protection form foreign intefrence.

The HLT05.1W-245K-N-D7-NNNN brake chopper contains an internal fan and a heatsink which work together to ensure the temperature in the beake chopper does not exceed the permisable temperature range. Under normal operating conditions, this brake chopper can generate a leakage current of about 3.5 miliamperes, thus to prevent electrical acidents, operators shold ensure he converter is securely connected to the grounding system of the servo system. The maximum power output of this brake chopper is about 495 kilowatts, while its average power dissipation is up to 1000 watts.

The HLT05.1W-245K-N-D7-NNNN should not be operated in an ambient temperature that exceeds 40 degree Celsius as this can cause the chopper to heat up at a rate which its temperature regulation system can not handle.
