Product Description:
The HLL05.1F-04M0-S0475-N-11-01U2-NNNN is a water-cooled bus choke produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HLL Bus Chokes series. It is installed between the line rectifier and the drive inverter. In that position, the component smooths the DC link current, limits inrush peaks, and reduces high-frequency disturbances that can propagate through an automation plant’s common power bus. This helps keep shared power sections more stable during rapid load changes in multi-axis drive systems.
The choke carries a continuous load of 475 A while maintaining a DC link potential of 1100 V. Its windings present a nominal inductance of 4 mH, so the unit stores energy and filters current ripple at the switching frequencies used by servo inverters. The open-frame construction is designated IP00, which means all live parts must be installed inside a protected cabinet. Thermal sizing assumes a maximum ambient of 40 °C; above this value, the permissible current must be derated, and operation is limited when the enclosure temperature reaches 55 °C. A normally closed temperature switch embedded in the coil opens the N/C contact once the copper reaches 160 °C; its 1 A contact rating allows direct connection to the drive enable loop for rapid shutdown during an overtemperature fault.
Water circulation of 1.2 L/min through the integrated cooling channel removes resistive losses, and the circuit may be pressurized up to 4 bar without leakage. Coolant entering the choke must not exceed 60 °C to keep the core and insulation below the protection threshold, and the embedded switch trips at 160 °C if flow is interrupted. Installation should account for a shipping weight of 90 kg, and suitable lifting points should be provided so the device can be positioned securely on the panel floor without placing excess stress on adjacent busbars. The liquid-cooling layout also reduces reliance on surrounding cabinet airflow near the choke body.
