The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW is a HCS drive controller. It is rated for maximum 54 Amps output. The power section on the controller is designed to accept three-phase AC input at 200 to 500 Volts AC. Enclosure of the controller belongs to IP20 protection class. This rating indicates that the enclosure provides protection against solids with 12 millimeter dimensions. However the enclosure does not provide protection against dust or moisture. For this reason Bosch recommends mounting of the controller inside a control cabinet. Since the controller dissipates heat inside the cabinet, operators are encouraged to use large cabinets or air conditioning. The controller supports cabinet mounting by attachment to its rear side, its right side or its left side. The recommended method is controller attachment to the cabinet through its rear side.

In case there is insufficient space between the front of the controller and the cabinet wall, Bosch permits controller attachment through its left side or its right side. The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW controller is equipped with Multi-Ethernet communication, a multi-encoder interface, encoder emulation and the safe torque off safety feature. The controller is shipped with a standard control panel. This type of control panel must be connected to the controller before the latter is powered on. The control panel is not recognized if it is connected to the controller after the latter is switched on. The control panel display can be used to monitor operating states, error diagnoses and warning. The control panel keypad can be used to trigger command and view extended controller diagnoses. The control panel has 650 kB memory for the MLD boot program and 492 bytes memory for the MLD variables. Only qualified personnel should install and operate the HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW controller.
