The HCS drive converters by the company are used in general automation, food and packaging machines, and printing machines.

The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-AW is one of the drive converters in the HCS series by Bosch Rexroth. It is a Series-1 model with Design 1 and a maximum current of 18A. Like others in the series, it is classified as a product in the IP 20 protection category, indicating that it is impervious to solid extrinsic materials with diameters over 12mm. Given its Multi-Ethernet communication module, it can be integrated in various Ethernet field bus systems, including EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET IO, and sercos III. It can also be connected to different types of encoders with its multi-encoder interface. Some of the encoders are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the MSK motor encoder, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1.

The drive converter should be operated with a three-phase mains connecting voltage between 110V and 230V and switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, or 16kHz. To ensure user safety, it is equipped with Safe Motion. Its heat dissipation method is via forced air cooling within its control cabinet. The drive controller is mounted per the G1 style; hence, natural convection supports its cooling by preventing the formation of pockets of heat. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above mean sea level.
