The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-S5-NN-FW is a digital drive controller with a basic control section. It is designed for three-phase AC input. The input voltage range is 200 to 500 Volts AC. Maximum output rating of the HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-S5-NN-FW is 8 Amps. The outlet for heated air is on the top of the controller, which dissipates heat inside the cabinet. The output derates if the ambient temperature exceed 40 degrees Celsius. Bosch permits controller operation with derated output at temperatures of up to 55 degrees Celsius. Accessories included in the standard scope of supply include screws for mounting the component, screws for connecting the equipment grounding conductor, parts for shield connection of cables (plates, screws) and parts for shield connection of module bus cables (heat shrink tubing, copper tape).

Several accessories are available on order including motor power cables, hybrid cables, encoder cables, Multi-Ethernet cables, mains filters, mains choke, braking resistor, and DC bus capacitor. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-S5-NN-FW features an integrated multi-encoder interface and Multi-Ethernet communication. The controller is also equipped with an optional CANopen interface. The safety module installed on the controller supports safe motion. The standard control panel supplied with the controller allows configuration and monitoring. As the control panel does not support hot plug, operators must connect it before the controller is switched on. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-S5-NN-FW has an IP20 rated housing. Cabinet mounting is recommended for dust and moisture protection. A device plate lists information that allows device identification. A firmware type plate on the HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-S5-NN-FW allows identification of the installed firmware version. A control panel type plate allows identification of the control panel on the unit. Bosch recommends that only trained personnel should plan and execute controller installation.
