Bosch Rexroth’s Rexroth IndraDrive drive system is popular in factory automation fields around the world because of its seamless design and efficiency. One of its components is the HCS drive converter built with multiple interfaces. It is used in applications like handling and mounting systems and machine tools.

The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-PB-S4-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth drive converter model in the HCS series. It has a sercos master for cross communication and an alternative PROFIBUS interface, with which it interacts with other components of the drive system. Like others in the series, it is equipped with a multi-encoder interface, allowing the connection of several standard encoders. These include the MSK motor encoder, the MS2N motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. According to the EN 60529 guidelines, this drive converter has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 20 as it does not permit the entry of solid extrinsic materials over 12mm.

The drive converter also has Safe Motion as its safety technology module and supports the use of firmware. Its standard control panel has four keys and a single-line display, where its operating states, command and error diagnoses, and unresolved faults can be viewed.
