Bosch Rexroth is dedicated to solving automation challenges easily, cost-efficiently, and safely with its products. One of their solutions is the IndraDrive Cs family of drive converters. These are compact multi-protocol systems with excellent features that can perform numerous functions. They are characterized by innovative multi-protocol support, a multi-encoder interface, and a broad power spectrum. Their typical areas of applications include handling and mounting systems, packaging and food machines, printing and paper processing machines, and machine tools.

The HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-NN-NN-NN-FW is a drive converter in the HCS series designed for ADVANCED control sections. Its control communication module is SERCOS III,  allowing advanced cross-communication. With this communication method, drives can interact with one another without time delays. It has a multi-encoder interface; hence, it is compatible with multiple standard encoder systems. These encoder systems have supply voltage ratings of  5V and 12V. They include the MSK motor encoder,  the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MS2N motor encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. 

For adequate function, the HCS01.1E-W0006-A-02-A-CC-EC-NN-NN-NN-FW should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C, maximum relative humidity of 95%, and maximum installation height of 1,000m above sea level.  The converter's Ingress protection rating is IP 20 according to the guidelines of DIN 40 050 and IEC 529, indicating that it is dustproof and impenetrable to objects greater than 12mm in diameter. Due to its compact size, the drive converter can be easily mounted in a control cabinet where it is cooled by a cooling airflow within this cabinet. It operates with a three-phase AC voltage ranging from 110V to 230V with an allowance of ±10%.
